1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our AI companion services ("Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

The Service provides AI-generated conversational companions powered by artificial-intelligence technology.

The Service is not a human, not a therapist, not a medical professional, and not a substitute for professional advice. You should never rely on the Service to replace legal, medical, financial, or mental-health services.

2. Eligibility

You must be:

18 years or older, or
13–17 with verifiable parental or guardian consent, where permitted in your region

You may not use the Service if:

It is prohibited by law in your jurisdiction
Doing so would violate these Terms or any applicable law

Some features may be age-restricted based on account settings and self-declaration.

3. Nature of the Service

Uses artificial intelligence to generate responses
May produce inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or inappropriate content

AI outputs are generated automatically and may change unpredictably

4. Accounts

To use certain features, you must create an account using accurate and up-to-date information.

You are responsible for:

Keeping your login credentials confidential
All activity under your account
Notifying us immediately of unauthorized access

We may suspend or terminate accounts if we detect:

Fraud, security risks, or abusive behavior
Potential harm to the Service or other users

We will notify you where feasible, subject to legal and security constraints.

5. Subscriptions, Billing & Refunds

5.1 Billing

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.
Billing is handled by third-party processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal).
By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges.

5.2 Refunds

Refunds are generally not provided for partial periods or unused time.
UK/EU users may have a statutory 14-day cooling-off period unless they request immediate access.
Refunds will be issued where required by law.
Refund requests must be submitted via the support email.

7. AI Limitations & Disclaimers

You acknowledge that:

AI may generate incorrect or misleading information
AI may produce emotionally inappropriate or unexpected responses
AI is not qualified to provide professional advice
AI cannot guarantee emotional outcomes or consistency

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Our Rights

We own all rights to:

The platform and underlying software
The AI models
Branding, trademarks, and design assets

You may not copy or distribute these elements without permission.

8.2 Your Rights & License

You retain ownership of your inputs.

You grant us a license to:

Store and process your inputs
Generate outputs
Improve the Service
Comply with legal obligations
Prevent abuse or fraud

You may use outputs for any lawful purpose, subject to your plan's terms.
You may not use outputs to train competing AI models without written consent.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if:

You violate these Terms
Your behavior poses safety or legal risks
Required by law

You may terminate your account at any time.

Upon termination:

Access ends promptly
We may delete or anonymize your data, subject to legal retention requirements

Certain clauses (e.g., liability, IP rights) survive termination.

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1 UK/EU Consumers

We do not exclude liability for:

Death or personal injury caused by negligence
Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
Any liability that cannot be excluded under UK/EU law

10.2 All Users

Except where prohibited:

We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages
Our total liability is limited to:
